CARITO SMALL GRID (SG) OVERVIEW v1.0
=================================

Document: SG_Overview.txt
Status: Grid Definition / Baseline
Applies To: Carrito v1 Small Grid builds, modules, and vehicles

--------------------------------------------------
1. PURPOSE
--------------------------------------------------
The Small Grid (SG) defines the baseline physical scale and capability for
Carrito v1. It is the default grid for street-legal, inspectable, and
widely accessible builds.

Small Grid exists to prioritize:
- Simplicity
- Serviceability
- Modularity
- Future compatibility

--------------------------------------------------
2. POSITION IN THE PLATFORM
--------------------------------------------------
Small Grid is the foundation grid.

All other grids are expansions, not replacements.

If a system can function safely and reasonably within Small Grid,
it should be designed for Small Grid first.

--------------------------------------------------
3. INTENDED USE
--------------------------------------------------
Small Grid is intended for:
- Street-legal vehicles (jurisdiction dependent)
- Neighborhood and local transport
- Builder-assembled vehicles
- Shop-built vehicles using standardized modules

Small Grid is not intended for:
- High-speed performance driving
- Heavy towing
- Industrial power systems

--------------------------------------------------
4. POWER EXPECTATIONS
--------------------------------------------------
Small Grid supports:
- Small commercial engines
- Generator-based power systems
- Electric drive systems
- Hybrid configurations

Power levels are intentionally conservative.

The goal is usability and longevity, not peak output.

--------------------------------------------------
5. MOTOR MODULAR FRAME RELATIONSHIP
--------------------------------------------------
All Small Grid power systems must use the Small Grid MMF cage.

Rules:
- No Small Grid power system may bypass the MMF
- No engine may force modification of the Small Grid chassis
- Power Frames adapt engines to the MMF

--------------------------------------------------
6. SACRED POWER VOLUME (SG)
--------------------------------------------------
Small Grid defines its own Sacred Power Volume.

The SG SPV:
- Is intentionally oversized
- Anticipates future Carrito motors
- Allows hybrid and electric stacking

The SPV is defined before engine selection.

--------------------------------------------------
7. COMPATIBILITY AND CLASSES
--------------------------------------------------
Small Grid builds must declare:
- Grid: SG
- Compatibility class: A, B, or C

Small Grid Class A builds represent the baseline
for Carrito v1 documentation and inspection guidance.

--------------------------------------------------
8. FUTURE PROOFING
--------------------------------------------------
Small Grid is designed to remain viable across multiple platform versions.

Future improvements should:
- Fit within the existing SG envelope where possible
- Be offered as Power Frame replacements
- Avoid forcing chassis or cage redesigns

--------------------------------------------------
9. INSPECTION AND REGULATORY CONTEXT
--------------------------------------------------
Small Grid is optimized for clarity during inspection.

Its conservative scale and modular documentation
are intended to reduce inspection friction.

--------------------------------------------------
10. SUMMARY
--------------------------------------------------
Small Grid is the heart of Carrito v1.

It defines a vehicle scale that:
- Is approachable
- Is repairable
- Is adaptable
- Does not rely on industrial infrastructure
