CARITO MOTOR MODULAR FRAME (MMF) CHARTER v1.0
==============================================

Document: 04_MMF_Charter.txt
Status: Foundational / Non-Negotiable
Applies To: All Carrito grids, power systems, power frames, and vehicle designs

--------------------------------------------------
1. PURPOSE
--------------------------------------------------
The Motor Modular Frame (MMF) exists to decouple vehicle design from power system selection.
This charter defines the MMF as the sole interface between the vehicle chassis and any power source.

The MMF is the heart of Carrito modularity.

--------------------------------------------------
2. CORE PRINCIPLE
--------------------------------------------------
The chassis shall never be modified to accommodate a power source.
All power sources must adapt to the MMF.

Any violation of this principle places a build outside platform compliance.

--------------------------------------------------
3. MMF DEFINITION
--------------------------------------------------
The MMF is a removable, grid-specific frame assembly that:
- Bolts to the chassis using fixed interfaces
- Defines the Sacred Power Volume
- Defines the power output plane
- Supports service access corridors
- Accepts interchangeable Power Frames

--------------------------------------------------
4. MMF AND GRID RELATIONSHIP
--------------------------------------------------
Each grid has its own MMF standard.

Rules:
- MMF cages are grid-specific
- MMF dimensions are fixed per grid
- MMF geometry does not scale automatically between grids
- Swapping grids requires swapping the MMF cage

--------------------------------------------------
5. SACRED INTERFACES
--------------------------------------------------
The MMF defines immutable interfaces:

- Chassis Interface Plane
- Power Output Plane
- Service Access Planes

These interfaces must not move or be redefined by any power system or module.

--------------------------------------------------
6. SACRED POWER VOLUME
--------------------------------------------------
The MMF encloses the Sacred Power Volume (SPV).

The SPV:
- Is intentionally oversized
- Protects future motor compatibility
- Must not be permanently reduced or obstructed

Power systems may occupy the SPV but may not redefine it.

--------------------------------------------------
7. POWER NEUTRALITY
--------------------------------------------------
The MMF is power-agnostic.

Gasoline, electric, hybrid, generator-based, and future power systems are valid
provided they:
- Fit within the SPV
- Terminate at the defined output plane
- Preserve service access corridors

--------------------------------------------------
8. POWER FRAMES
--------------------------------------------------
Power Frames are inner subframes or sleds that:
- Carry specific power systems
- Install within the MMF
- Align power sources to MMF interfaces

Power Frames may be removable, bolted, clamped, or welded using approved lock zones.

--------------------------------------------------
9. WELDING AND LOCK-IN POLICY
--------------------------------------------------
Welding inside the MMF is permitted only when:
- Using approved weld zones
- Welding sacrificial or removable tabs
- The MMF cage itself is not altered

Welds must be cuttable to restore baseline compatibility.

--------------------------------------------------
10. COMPATIBILITY CLASSES
--------------------------------------------------
MMF-related components must declare compatibility class.

Class A:
- Fully removable
- Future-compatible

Class B:
- Optimized
- Requires Power Frame or CMZ replacement for future motors

Class C:
- Experimental
- No future compatibility guarantee

--------------------------------------------------
11. SERVICEABILITY REQUIREMENT
--------------------------------------------------
The MMF must allow:
- Visual inspection of power systems
- Reasonable access for maintenance
- Removal of Power Frames without chassis modification

--------------------------------------------------
12. INSPECTION ROLE
--------------------------------------------------
Inspectors may rely on the MMF to:
- Identify grid size
- Confirm baseline compliance
- Distinguish experimental systems

--------------------------------------------------
13. NO SILENT MODIFICATIONS
--------------------------------------------------
Any modification to MMF geometry, interfaces, or envelope must:
- Be documented
- Be reclassified
- Be labeled accurately

--------------------------------------------------
14. AMENDMENTS
--------------------------------------------------
Changes to this charter require:
- Version increment
- Change log entry
- Platform justification

--------------------------------------------------
END OF MMF CHARTER
